This assignment is due, in class, on Monday, October 16, 2000

Chapter 6. Reactions of Alkenes. Addition Reactions. In this Chapter we shall discuss in detail the characteristic addition reactions of alkenes. The stereochemistry and selectivity of reactions of the C=C bond will be shown to be related to the orbital electronic structure of the C=C bond. Examples of the correlation of structure and chemical reactivity will be developed.
