Assignment 10. Chem C3045x. Due Friday, December 1, 2000
Chapter 11. Arenes and Aromaticity This Chapter deals with the structure and some of the reactions of benzene and its derivatives. These molecules are characterized by structures possessing double bonds that are conjugated in a cyclic array. Special properties result from cyclic conjugation and again simple molecular orbital theory nicely explains the origin of these special effects.
